Your grocery bill…
I don’t know about you…
But other than my home expense (my mortgage and utilities)…
My grocery bill is my biggest expense ?
And that just drives me crazy because it’s food!
It’s stuff you need!
And you want to eat good food, not food that’s bad for you.
You want to eat organic food as much as you can ?
And it’s crazy what it cost these days. ??
Here’s some things that I’ve come across…?

Shop around… ?
A lot of stores carry organic foods these days that didn’t use to
Even Walmart has organic food in their stores
See who’s got the best price for the kinds of foods that you buy. ?
Do you really need name brand? Maybe not.
Maybe the store brand is just as good for some items so that will save you some money.

Do you buy things that aren’t really necessary?
Do you put things in your pantry for safe keeping or a rainy day ☔
And then you end up throwing them out because the expiration date passes before you even use them? ?
Are you just wasting money there on the grocery bill because you’re buying things just in case that never really get used? ?
Either try to not buy them or put a meal plan together to make sure you use them so that they get used up and not tossed out. ?

Another thing is fruits and vegetables… ? ? ? ?
Fresh organic fruits and vegetables just don’t last as long
So either don’t buy as much or again use a meal plan to force you to use them before they go bad

Also, take advantage of sales. ?
If it’s stuff like paper products or canned goods… ?
Things that will last a little longer… stock up when they’re on sale so that you don’t have to buy them when they’re not
Have enough on hand so that they last until the next sale.

I’ll give you a secret about coupons… ?
You know the expiration date on the coupon?
Most stores will take that coupon up to 30 days after the expiration date ?
So don’t throw your coupons away just because the expiration date is passed
Wait for the 30 days. You still get another month to use it.

And there’s another coupon secret … ?
Don’t use your coupon right away, when you first receive it…
The product will go on sale before the coupon expires … ?
Save it for then so you get double the savings

Another idea is to buy in bulk when you can.
Is there a co-op you can join?
Is there some kind of bulk food group you can join?
Do you have big box stores like Costco where you can buy in bulk to save a little bit of money?

So I know the grocery bill is a heartache for a lot of people ?
Because they really do want to eat right
But eating the best organic foods can be very expensive.
So use some of these tips to see if you can fit a little more organic stuff into your meal plan
