Do you feed herbs to your chickens? ?
Here are my five top herbs that I make sure that they get all the time to maintain good health naturally
Mint ?
Mint lowers their body temperature … great for the summer months
It also helps repel rodents
I put it in their tea when I give them their tea

Cooking Herbs ?
When I give them fresh vegetables, I include some tarragon, basil, thyme and oregano in too
Tarragon is an antioxidant
Basil is good for respiratory health, it just keeps their respiratory system working properly
Thyme is an antibiotic and repels insects
Oregano is an antibiotic and an anti-parasitic, it can help keep the poultry mites and poultry lice away

So even if they don’t really eat them and they throw it all over the floor in the run…
It’s at least repelling the insects and keeping them away
So double duty … antibiotics for the chickens if they do eat it, repels the insects if they just toss it around on the floor

These are just a few of the herbs that can be used with your flock
Check it out for yourself
Decide if you want to start putting herbs into the treats that you give your girls
