When things don’t go the way you planned
And the plan gets all messed up
Which way do you think?
Do you think, “I’ll just give up. I don’t need to be doing it anyway,”
Or
Do you look at it and say, “Okay, what are my other options? Can I try a different way?”
Are you flexible?
Can you move on the fly?
Can you make changes?
Can you change decisions?
Do you think outside the box?
That is really important to keeping your stress down
Because the more rigid you are, the more stressful you are
The more flexible you are, the less stressed you are
You’ve heard the term where people just let the water roll off their back…
They’re talking about the flexibility
That you don’t get all worked up and all upset over whatever didn’t go right
That you just look at it and say…
Okay. This is where I am, there is where I wanted to go and now what do I do.
What’s my new plan?
How do I get there from here?
I know I started over there but I’m here now so how do I get there from here?
That’s what I wanted to bring up today because it’s important to remove some of the stress from your life
It’s important to your overall health
The less stressed we are, the healthier we tend to be
Let’s see how calm and de-stressed we can make things
So when things don’t go as planned…
If you’re an “I give up” person and “why did this happen to me” kind of person
See if you can change some things.
It’s not gonna change overnight.
You have to change your thinking
But see if you can change some things to try a different way.
This is where I am now.
How do I get to that end goal from here?
