In January, I tried a vegan hotdog for the first time. ?

Because I haven’t been vegetarian my whole life,
I know what regular hotdogs taste like.
This vegan hot dog tastes almost identical to a regular hotdog. ?
I don’t think you would really notice the difference.
It had the right texture, the right seasoning and everything.

It was from a booth that was a local restaurant.
It wasn’t anything that I could just go buy and have at home.

So I went on a search to find vegan hotdogs that I could buy to have at home. ?️

I found some in a local store.
They’re plant-based which is really cool. ?
I bought a pack, but how do you have a hotdog without a bun? ?
Even if it’s not a meat hotdog!
I happen to have a bun tray … what’s that?
A tray to make hotdog buns.
I’ve never used it.
It’s been in the cabinet, I don’t know, probably a year or two. ?

I put together a batch of the almond bread ?
(like I showed you in the video about a month ago)
But this time I used this hotdog bun tray.

They look like the old-fashioned kind that you would slit the top.
The ridges in the pan give you the indentation to know where to score them, where to cut them. After they cooled enough I could get them out of the pan, I set them on the cutting board
Then all I did was cut them on the indentations ?
Once they’re fully cool, when I have my hotdogs, I will just cut one of these buns open

I just wanted to let everyone hear about this because I’m sure I’m not the only one trying to figure out how to have a hotdog and stay within my dietary guidelines.
