What can you use, if you’re trying to stay away from the grains, which means you can’t use regular pasta?

What are some possible substitutes? ?
There is a company, Cappello’s, that makes pasta from almond flour.
I have made almond flour pasta from scratch.
It’s just a lot more convenient to buy it already done.
You can get lasagna sheets, or you can get fettuccine.
It acts like regular pasta, tastes like regular pasta.
So it works really really well. 

Like the other night, we used the almond flour fettuccine, and we made it Southwest.
We put Southwest spices in it, and green chilies, roasted peppers, roasted tomato.
Just think of all the Mexican flavors, and we put that in the pasta.
And you can have it vegetarian like we did.
Or you could throw some meat in it whether it’s shrimp or chicken, or whatever kind of meat you prefer.
Another option is shirataki noodles. It may be called miracle noodle. ?
It’s actually made from a Japanese yam called konjac.
It does not have the carbs that a typical pasta would have.
You have to keep it refrigerated. It’s in a saltwater solution that you just have to rinse off.
It pretty much takes on the flavor of whatever you put on top of it.
Another option would be to use a spiralizer
You can spiralize zucchini or any other vegetable, and use that in place of a pasta
You could also use spaghetti squash in place of a pasta.
I’ve tried them all. They all work.
I prefer certain ones with certain recipes.
It just depends on the kind of sauce you’re putting on top.
But they all work!
Using a pasta imposter is one way to cut the carbs because you’re not using wheat pasta.
These pastas have a lot less carbs in them than a typical wheat pasta has.
There are some really good pasta impersonators out there that are worth checking into.
